The process for success

Before starting any project or even agreeing to work together, I need to understand what it is that you want to achieve. This is so that we can get to know each other a little and identify the goals, complexities and processes involved.

Initial call

We will look at what your current stats are (if you already have a website) combined with what you're hoping to achieve and how we can measure that.

Often, I set a multi-staged website release so that we can have deadlines for go-live on given functionality. This means that you can launch the initial functionality on your site sooner.

What's great about this approach is that we can often launch your new functionality sooner by focusing on doing what your current site does but better. And then working on the more advanced benefits in a further release that will go live a few weeks later.

Sketched ideation

I like to start working on paper. It's quick and easy to identify which ideas are worth pursuing and an efficient way of making changes. Once I have some ideas, I'll share these with you so that we can see which ideas are worth following.

This make it really easy (and cheaper!) to change a page design, layout and hierarchy without the need for a server.

Digital design and iteration

Once we know which way to go, I'll digitise the sketches and we can review and iterate from there. I'll build an initial version of the site that you can see and use with the initial requirements built in and we'll continue to iterate from there.

Sign off & launch

Once you've reviewed the designs and we're happy that they meet all of your needs, you'll sign them off and we can migrate and launch your website to the public!

Once live

Once your site is live, you'll have two weeks to make requests for minor content and design changes (nothing that is out of scope of the original project). After that, we'll work together on a hassle-free maintenance plan that works for you so that your site remains live and up to date.
