Fulham BM is a building maintenance and bathroom company working across Fulham and the surrounding boroughs, and my role with them has grown into something closer to an in-house studio than a single project. Rather than deliver one piece and move on, I look after the whole way the business presents itself from both a User Experience and strategic lead generation perspective – including from the first advert a customer sees through to the thank-you card that arrives once the work is done.
The foundation was an updated brand system, tightened so that everything from a business card to a full page of the website feels as though it belongs to the same company. From there I designed the print they hand over in person — business cards, a marketing brochure that explains what they do without overwhelming, and thank-you cards that gently encourage happy customers to leave a Google review, which is one of the most effective and underused ways a local trade business can earn the trust of the next customer and improves their Google Business Profile ranking.
Online, I built them a new website structured around the services they offer and the areas they cover, so that someone searching for a specific job in a specific part of London lands on a page that speaks directly to them, and I run Google Ads alongside it to make sure that demand is captured rather than lost to competitors. I also produce the portfolio pieces that show the quality of the finished work, because in this trade seeing the standard is often what turns an enquiry into a booking.
What makes the partnership work is that every part reinforces the others — the advertising points at a website built to convert, the website reflects a brand carried through into the printed material, and the printed material keeps the reviews and referrals coming. It is marketing treated as one joined-up system rather than a set of disconnected tasks.
