I’m building my business according to beliefs I developed when I was frustrated working for others, and I’ve come to feel that this phrase — “I’ve got you. Tell me more…” — is really all a client should need to hear from me.
Helping businesses grow should be easy, fun and possible without the hassle and red tape that is seemingly everywhere.
I believe in:
- Client relationships based on trust rather than contracts
- Having the autonomy to make decisions without dependencies
- The impetus to move quickly
- Making progress and reacting quickly
- Getting a client what they need
- One design studio to handle everything — either I know about it or I don’t, and if I don’t, either we’ll learn together or I’ll find someone who does
- Just saying sorry and having accountability when I’ve got something wrong
As I grow, there are temptations to deviate a little from these, because it would make life easier in some places. But it would also lead to a horrid feeling — because, importantly, it’s about being helpful and human.
